We've also planned a timetable for us and the characters availability to be filmed. This will help us know when to film each characters at the right time this is because it helps us organize the equipments such as camera tripod etc.

4 Kicks Images

4 kicks band has sent us images to allow us to analyze and develop our ideas to how and what to include into our music video's. Their use of costume gives us an idea what we could include into our music video. For e.g. indie bands often wear black jeans and leather jackets which signifies that its an urban indie music video.

However we've decided not to include a band in our music video this is because our music video this is because our music video is mainly focused on relationships which is more of a narrative based story. For e.g in my research blog I've analyzed the Kooks- naive music video which has no band performing. We've decided to use the same idea because our music video will be a unique indie genre.

Music Permission

Once we had chosen our own unknown artist, in the unsigned website we then chose to contact the group to gain acceptation by the 4 kick group to use their single for our music video activity. Here is an example of us sending a message to the group.

Dear 4 kicks,

we are a media group studying at Graveney sixth form. We are asking for your permission to create a video for your music single “I never get lost except by your side” as part of our media groups coursework at A-level. We will also be creating an album cover for the band as part of our media coursework.

We also ask for you to send us a copy of the lyrics for the single or a picture of the band if possible.

Following the email sent to 4kicks, they replied accepting our request to use there single and sent us the mp3 to the song and the lyrics typed up for our group to use and relate to the music video. The band also sent us images of the band which we may later use and the images also give us an insight into the band and image the band put accross.

Thanks for all the support and we will send you a copy of the final copy. We've used the website unsigned .com to find out about the group and to find the song we chose. We also used your myspace to listen to you tracks.
